Matthew Miller began his legal career in 1996, starting his own Intellectual Property law firm in Solana Beach, California. Matthew saw a unique opportunity to contribute to the then reemerging skate industry, assisting young start-ups and established skate brands expand and grow their businesses both domestically and internationally.
By 1997, Matthew had become a regular contributor for Transworld Skateboard Business Magazine, building a solid reputation around his depth of knowledge and experience in the field of intellectual property and corporate law.
With a genuine desire to help his clients succeed, Matthew was often asked to consult clients in all aspects of their business. As Matthew's reputation grew so did his practice, which included clients in varied fields of business, from technology to entertainment.
In 2004 Matthew once again followed his entrepreneurial instincts, selling his law firm and taking on the role of consultant for a growing footwear company. Then in 2007, Matthew along with 2 co-owners, successfully re-launched the men’s footwear brand, Clae. During his eight years with Clae, Matthew served as President and CEO, overseeing daily operations including manufacturing, sales and distribution. In 2015, Matthew sold his ownership in Clae.
During his time as a consultant and CEO, Matthew continued his passion for practicing intellectual property and corporate law for a few select clients. Today Matthew and his team bring a wealth of legal and business expertise to anyone looking to move their business forward.
Matthew received his law degree from University of San Diego School of Law and is admitted to practice law in California.
